Imagine a first of January on which we all won’t be able to wish ‘HAPPY NEW YEAR’!!!!!!
I know, I sound weird and pessimistic to most of the people out there but, the hard facts from past and the present discoveries have made me make this statement.
At this point, I would like to present a question in front of all you readers. Why the Mayan Calendar does not exceed the year 2012??? Do you think the Mayans were so dumb that they could not write the calendar for year 2013?
No, they had a reason to do that. The reason being, their belief of the year 2013 as the YEAR OF DESTRUCTION. This has been depicted in one of their inscriptions; this inscription also stated that, this destruction will be caused by the SUN GOD.
Friends, now hold your breath, cause the present researches carried out on Sun have reveled us a hard to digest fact, that the activities on Sun are getting worst day to day, its size in increasing, fueling this development the earths orbit is shrinking. It is expected that, the world will face brink of destruction due to SOLAR FLARES at the end of year 2012. Thus far carried out researches suggest that GREECE, CHINA, INDIA and some parts of USA, are under the red zone of this threat. At this point I would also like to mention that the effects of recent activities of we Indians like the PHOKRAN TEST, INCREASED GREEN HOUSE EMISSIONS etc are cumulating to create havoc in the so called future superpowers INDIA & CHINA .
So, Will India become a developed country by 2020 or Will the MAYAN predictions come True?
These questions have to be answered only by Time… All that we can do is be optimist and hope all these predictions go wrong, and we will be able to wish everyone a very ‘happy new year’ on 1/1/2013.

Every time you say the slogan ‘INDIA SHINING‘ make sure that you have thought twice...
Well by making this statement I may sound rude and non-patriotic to most of the Indians out there.
Well friends it’s the hard fact. Although some classes of India are shining but still the majority of Indian population is still living under the shadows of the India’s shine.
The real futures of India that have to bloom are fading at rapid rates than any other nation of the world.
Yes, my friends I am speaking about the Child mortality rate. With two million children under the age of five dying every year, India has a dismal record in child mortality.
Now, a new study conducted by Save the Children, which compares child mortality in a country to its national income per person, shows that India lags behind poorer neighbors like Bangladesh and Nepal when it comes to cutting child deaths. This, even despite its impressive rate of economic growth as compared to the other South Asian nations.

An ordinary village woman who used to rear cows, breaking into one male preserve after another is not commonplace even in a highly literate State like Kerala.

Sandhya Banerjee, who hails from a village near Ettumnoor in Kottayam district, is fast becoming role model for others by doing just that.
She created a flutter 3 years ago by driving an Auto rickshaw. A very few would have thought that it would actually become her launch pad into politics.

Continuing her ride of breaking the male dominancy she went out to win election to the Neendur gramapanchayat a year ago and now taking a giant leap in her political career, she is the Panchayat President.

Hope this news motivates thousands of depressed women out there...

NOT FAR ARE THE DAYS WHEN THE PETROL,DIESEL & LPG PRICES GO UP TO THE EXTENT THAT THEY BECOME UNUSABLE TO A COMMON MAN.

In the recent days we can hear a lot of news regarding the hike in petroleum products, Inflation Rate is also attached to the hiked fuel prices.

Now its the time when people complain and protest aganist the Government. In the process no one is concerned regarding the alternatives that can be used. No one wants to go back in time and remember how most of the things went on in 70’s. if we do move back in time I am sure that we can find a suitable alternative.

Biogas technology provides an alternate source of energy in rural India, and is hailed as an archetypal appropriate technology that meets the basic need for cooking fuel in rural areas. Using local resources, viz. cattle waste and other organic wastes, energy and manure are derived. Realization of this potential and the fact that India supports the largest cattle wealth led to the promotion of National Biogas Programme in a major way in the late 1970s as an answer to the growing fuel crisis.

Now my question to the general public is why can’t a similar process be carried out for urban India, In urban India we have thousands of tonnes of vegetable wastes going into dumping yards, human and cattle excreta going out of the city as a waste. Just imagine how much amount of energy is flowing out as waste.

If we are able to produce Bio Gas out of it, cant we solve the problems caused due to fuel hike atleast for a small percentage???

Is 'Classical Indian Music' on the deathbed?

I think it can be a burning issue of debate but nobody bothers to highlight. Nor the Central or the State Governments are concerned regarding the real talents of classical music who go on practicing for hours and devote their life for achieving perfection in the real music of India.

The Indian classical music, which reflects the essence of the Indian culture, tradition and heritage, is pathetically got lost in the darkness and if the Governments do something then it is only the awards apart from which they are not at all interested in nurturing these young talents.

If this is the fate of the Government, We the citizens of India do not differ much from this attitude towards Indian music.

Everyday we do listen to music and enjoy seeing the reality music shows on our television sets. These TV shows only concentrate on the artists and young talents who are no better than mere copycats of film music, and it seems that there is nothing left in this world except movie songs.

So if this is our attitude towards this art of India, then how will we be able to give the world some great singers like MIYAN TANSEN, PANDIT BHIMSEN JOSHI, M.S. SUBALAKSHMI, etc in the future.
